International Study Programmes

ILRT with its wing namely Basix Academy for Livelihoods and Micro-enterprise Promotion has organized International Training and Certification Programmes.  Besides being a hub of rich resource pool from diverse backgrounds, ILRT/B-A-LAMP draws the experiences and expertise of Basix Social Enterprise Group and specializes in three major areas –

  • Certificate and Integrated Courses for fresh Graduates who are eventually absorbed by the financial and development sectors
  • Domestic Short-term Programs to support other Basix Group Companies, Banks and other Financial Institutions in the specialized functional areas and Capacity Building
  • International Short-term Programs that cater to the needs of external organizations to learn from the Indian experiences

ILRT/B-A-LAMP has substantial experience both in the arena of Study Programs, Exposure visits, and Certificate Courses on various thematic areas viz., Micro Finance, Cooperatives, Rural Financial Coops, Micro Insurance, Micro Pensions, Safety Nets, SHG-Bank Linkages, Agriculture Finance, Branchless Banking, Non-Farm Business Development, Vocational Skill-building Approaches, Micro-enterprise Promotion, Agri and Allied Value Chain, Sales and Marketing, Asset Liability Management, Project Management, Social Performance Management, Financial Literacy and Client Protection to as varied as Watershed Management. Among other programs, it has also conducted similar programs for the World Bank’s Agriculture Finance Facility. Organizations that are engaged around these thematic areas, professionals and practitioners in middle and senior management levels, policy makers, researchers and educators who wish to pick up experiences from India and try to implement best practices in their respective work places attend these programs. The program-duration ranges from a few days to two weeks but an ideal program will be typically for 6-21 days. ILRT/B-A-LAMP has facilitated 131 programs catering to over 2,800 professionals out of which 81 are international programs benefiting over 1300 professionals from 199 organizations of 28 countries and over 1,500 professionals from various fields in India. Offered Study Programs/Exposure Visits/Knowledge Exchanges for participants from some of the clients.
