Institute of Livelihood Research and Training (ILRT) is announcing a “Training Program on Pro-Poor Value Chain and Market System Development” from January 14 to 18, 2025.
About the Course
ILRT is Centre of Excellence (CoE) under the Value Chain Capacity Building Network (VCB-N), a Network promoted by the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) to provide advisory services and capacity-building support to IFAD funded projects on scaling up pro-poor value chain and market system development (VC & MSD) in Asia & Pacific regions. The Scaling-up Pro-poor Value Chain and Market System Development course was developed internationally after a rigorous training needs assessment of various countries and design by a multi-country expert team. This was followed by testing the course in different countries and finalization with appropriate contextualization. Previously, ILRT organized a series of training sessions for professionals from the Asia Pacific region, Europe, Africa, and South America. Assessing the wider relevance of the professionals in India, ILRt decided to launch a physical training programme at Bhopal.
Who should attend the Course?
The training course is designed to build capacity for professionals and project staff engaged in planning and facilitating value chain and market system development activities involving small producers in agri-horti, agri-allied, agro-forestry, and related sectors.
