An important part of policy analysis and policy advocacy is development of policy briefs. ILRT engages in development of policy briefs based on its internal research, consultancy and research assignments for its clients, and action research on a range of livelihood themes. Policy briefs draw on the learnings from the experiences of implementation large scale programs, pilot implementation of projects, and process documentation of good practices, case studies depicting learnings, assessments and evaluation of programs. In the past ILRT has developed policy briefs related to strengthening informal sector, improving state of migrant workers, FPOs, SHGs, strengthening the livelihood eco-system for the poor and marginalised. Policy briefs are aimed at information dissemination, advocacy and triggering discussions on important livelihood issues.
