This training aimed to build a strong understanding of how value addition empowers farmers to participate more effectively in agri-value chains and secure better prices for their produce. It will focus on strengthening Farmers’ Producer Organizations (FPOs) as agri-business entities, highlighting their role in enabling value addition and food processing. Participants will learn about the importance of value addition at different stages of the value chain and the use of appropriate technologies to enhance productivity and product quality across various commodities. The training will also cover key concepts of business planning and development for FPOs and enterprises, and provide insights into marketing planning and management within agriculture and allied sectors to improve market access and outcomes.
