An e-learning course based on ‘The Fourth Edition of the Resource Book for Livelihood Promotion’ is been prepared and is titled as ‘Fundamentals of Livelihood Promotion’. This course has evolved from the ILRT’s experience with trainings of Livelihood Promoting Organizations and adds to the existing body of knowledge, new concepts and frameworks on livelihoods. It describes both conceptual as well as practical approaches and gives a more improved understanding of livelihoods under various lenses such as social, cultural and political analysis. It has accounted for various concerns of earlier approaches that fail to address such analyses and has included a new set of suitable instruments/tools to account for the same.
