Value chain approaches have emerged as important ways for strengthening livelihoods of the poor. Increasingly donor organizations, philanthropies, multi-lateral organizations are promoting value chain approaches to livelihood promotion. ILRT comes with a deep experience of conducting value chain studies. It has conducted over 60 value chain studies covering all the sectors and spread across all the geographies of the country. ILRT is also part of value chain capacity building network (VCB-N) promoted by International Federation for Agricultural Fund (IFAD) and recognized as an expert resource institution for capacity building in value chains. It is currently extending support to IFAD project partners in value chain capacity building.
