Dr. Rajendra Singh Gautam has acquired doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in ‘Community based Natural Resources Management from Madhya Pradesh Institute of Social Science Research & Vikram University, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has over 18 years of experience of research, training and consultancy in academics and development sector especially on livelihood promotion, institutional development, value chain development, decentralized governance, community based natural resources management, ground water governance, forestry based livelihood promotion,    labour market analysis, skill and entrepreneurship promotion. He has published research papers including case studies on various themes such as natural resource management, democratic decentralization, skill development, NTFPs based value chain development, ground water governance, etc., in national and international journals of repute. Starting his career in Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) as a Program officer, he was involved in research, planning, conceptualizing and designing projects related to youth employment. He joined BASIX Social Enterprise Group (SEG) in 2006 & served in Social Performance Management (SPM), Knowledge Services Group (KSG) and Organization Learning for Excellence (OLE) units. He was associated with projects such as Social Indicators Project (SIP), Social Performance assessment study, A Livelihood Intervention in Women’s Enter-  prise (ALIWE), Social Rating, Microfinance for Decent Work, Impact Assessment Study (2010), etc., In ILRT, he has been part of and led research   projects related to Livelihood Mapping, Subsector and Value chain studies, studies on informal sector, Evaluations of Community based Institutions and Skill based programs, Impact assessments and Action research. Raja Babu M has a Masters in Business Administration and done Diploma In Multimedia Animations with specialization in 3D animation. He brings with him over a decade experience in Multimedia and IT administration. Dr. Shashidharan Enarth comes with over two decades of professional experience in Development Sector. with professional experience spread across three NGOs – LOCOST, AKRSP and DSC, he promoted holistic health programs and natural resources development programs. Working with vulnerable rural communities dependent on agriculture, he developed expertise in programs, policies related to natural resources management, livelihood systems, role of civil society as partner in development. He was also closely involved in irrigation policy reforms and introduction of participatory irrigation management in various states. During his doctoral programme at University of British Columbia on decentralization and democratization of development progress, he studied the conditions that strengthen the capacity of community based organizations to be robust self-governed peoples institutions. Shashi has also provided his consultancy services to the World Bank for their projects in Nigeria, Tanzania and India. His current area of interest is to explore institutional mechanisms that deliver sustainable benefit streams to chronically poor communities and regions through intersection of science and technology, political processes, entrepreneurship and responsible citizenship. Shashi has also designed and implemented capacity building programmes and learning systems for various practitioners from civil society as well as government agencies. Shashi is currently located in Vancouver (Canada) developing a collaborative program on policy research and exchange of scholars between BASIX Group and Liu Institute of Global Issues at University of British Columbia.

Dr. U. S. Sharma, has done Ph.D. in “Genetic approach to conserve some endangered Pteridophytes: Isoetes and Psilotum” from Department of Genetics, Barakatullah University Bhopal. M.Sc. in Botany from, School of Study, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management (PGDEM) from Environmental Planning and Coordination Organization (EPCO), Bhopal. He is having experience of more than 25 years of rural development by Natural Resource Management and livelihood strengthening of deprived communities through science and technological applications. Action research in the area of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) and developed micro-enterprises. He is associated since last 25 years with a reputed S & T based non-government organization Madhya Pradesh Vigyan Sabha, engaged in developing technologies for rural development, conducting action research, survey, development of scientific temper, implementation of various projects funded by various agencies like Department of Science and Technology (DST), NABARD, UNDP, MAPCOST, State Biodiversity Board etc. He has published research papers and case studies related to Biotechnology, NTFP based micro-enterprise, value addition of NTFPs, Biodiversity conservation, conservational plant genetics etc. His areas of interest are Biodiversity conservation and rural livelihood, Science and Technological interventions for sustainable utilization of NTFPs including honey and medicinal plants, Biotechnology for rural development, promotion of techno-enterprise and Agro-ecological practices of farming.

Avinash Kumar,is a Post Graduate in Forestry Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) Bhopal and Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication from Ranchi University. The thematic areas in which he has worked include Natural Resource Management, Financial Inclusion, Governance, Value Chain and Market System Development, mentoring support for institution development viz. Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Producer Groups (P.G.s), Self Help Groups (SHGs), NGO Partnership. He has expertise in conducting studies, impart trainings, case study documentation, curriculum development, action research. In his 22 years of work experience he has worked with grass root level NGOs, International NGO, Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs), academic and research institution, urban enterprise promotion. He has experience of working in eight states of India. Among the important studies conducted by him are “Doubling the Farmers Income: Issues and Strategies for Assam” for NABARD, Livelihood Recovery Plan for 2019 Maharashtra Floods Recovery Report for UNDP. He has represented Institute of Livelihood Research and Training (ILRT) in an international experience exchange program on ultra-poor organized by C-GAP and Ford Foundation in 2012 at the World Bank office in Paris. Imparting training to the officials of Development Bank of Ethiopia on Financial Management is one of his overseas assignments. Mishra, an MSW and PhD in Development Studies , has about three decades of pan India work experience in diverse areas and capacities (including leadership positions) in different organizations- Govt of India , NGO, INGO, CSR, Academic institutions. His latest regular engagement was with Kaziranga University of Assam as Professor and Dean in the School of Social Sciences. He was an empanelled Livelihood Expert in the SEED Division of Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt of India (2011-16), and Member of Youth Policy Drafting Committee, Govt of Odisha, 2013. He has participated in various knowledge sharing programmes overseas – Bangladesh, Thailand, Jordan, Japan, and Taiwan. At present he is a consultant in a project of Ministry of Tribal Affairs and UNDP in Odisha. His core competency lies in Evaluation, Impact Assessment and Policy Studies. He is associated with a number of grass root level livelihood promoting agencies and at present he is the President of Koraput Farmers Association, and honorary Professor with Council of Analytical Tribal Studies, Koraput, Odisha. He has implemented and supervised several projects, conducted a number of evaluations, developed M&E frameworks for grassroots to national levels and carried-out many trainings, research & studies. In development sector he has worked in varied organizations and positions including government from grassroots to National/program level, including National NGOs (VIKSAT/NFD,FDRA, Basix) and International agencies (Helpage India, PACS-DFID (MC/CMS), Save the Children, UK, Wateraid/ DFID (MPWASH).
